About the Role:
As a Senior Accountant in the Advanced Business Services team, you'll be instrumental in delivering exceptional service to clients by managing accounts, taxation, and financial requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation & Finalisation of Financial Statements:
- Manage full sets of accounts from initial records to finalisation meetings.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (FRS 102 & 105).
- Management Accounts:
- Review and oversee the preparation of management accounts.
- VAT Compliance:
- Review simple VAT returns and provide guidance on VAT legislation.
- Deadline Management:
- Proactively manage multiple deadlines and ensure timely completion.
- Budget Accountability:
- Maintain accountability for budgets on tasks.
- Delegation & Team Leadership:
- Delegate tasks effectively to junior staff, provide guidance, and review completed work.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- ACA/CA/ACCA, ICAS, or an internationally recognised professional accounting qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant UK work experience in a reputable audit firm.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
