About the Role:

As a Senior Accountant in the Advanced Business Services team, you'll be instrumental in delivering exceptional service to clients by managing accounts, taxation, and financial requirements.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation & Finalisation of Financial Statements:
    • Manage full sets of accounts from initial records to finalisation meetings.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (FRS 102 & 105).
  • Management Accounts:
    • Review and oversee the preparation of management accounts.
  • VAT Compliance:
    • Review simple VAT returns and provide guidance on VAT legislation.
  • Deadline Management:
    • Proactively manage multiple deadlines and ensure timely completion.
  • Budget Accountability:
    • Maintain accountability for budgets on tasks.
  • Delegation & Team Leadership:
    • Delegate tasks effectively to junior staff, provide guidance, and review completed work.


Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • ACA/CA/ACCA, ICAS, or an internationally recognised professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant UK work experience in a reputable audit firm.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management frameworks, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
