Job Description:
As a Tax Manager you will play a critical role in our firm's tax department, overseeing tax compliance, planning, and advisory services. This role is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated team of tax professionals and work with a wide variety of clients to address their financial needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Oversee the preparation and review of complex individual and business tax returns.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, ensuring optimal tax savings and compliance.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their financial objectives.
- Represent clients during tax audits and examinations, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and identify opportunities for tax optimization.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures for accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and financial statements for tax purposes.
Qualifications:
- Active CPA license is required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in public accounting with a strong background in tax compliance and planning.
- Exceptional knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Proficiency in tax software and financial analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- MUST currently be working in a CPA firm
