Job Description:

As a Tax Manager you will play a critical role in our firm's tax department, overseeing tax compliance, planning, and advisory services. This role is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated team of tax professionals and work with a wide variety of clients to address their financial needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of complex individual and business tax returns.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, ensuring optimal tax savings and compliance.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their financial objectives.
  • Represent clients during tax audits and examinations, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and identify opportunities for tax optimization.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures for accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and financial statements for tax purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Active CPA license is required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in public accounting with a strong background in tax compliance and planning.
  • Exceptional knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in tax software and financial analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • MUST currently be working in a CPA firm
