Job Title - Financial Controller

Salary - up to £85k

Location - Huntingdon on a Hybrid basis

The Role:

Our client, a leading international company, is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to lead accounting teams and ensure financial compliance across key countries.

As the Financial Controller, you will:

Manage day-to-day accounting and financial processing
Lead statutory and tax compliance for key EMEA countries
Ensure data accuracy and maintain robust financial controls
Provide leadership and development for your team
Collaborate with other finance managers and occasionally stand in for the Finance Director

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting for European entities, with a focus on the UK and France
Manage treasury operations, including bank reporting and payment approvals
Build relationships with internal stakeholders and support operational managers
Review and update finance procedures to minimize business risk
Collaborate on credit control processes and manage aged debtors
Handle tax reporting for the UK and France
Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
Coordinate statutory reporting and audits for UK and France
Contribute to EMEA cash flow forecasting

What the Client's looking for:

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification with several years of post-qualification experience
Proven experience in managing finance teams
Experience working with external auditors and third parties
UK tax reporting and compliance expertise
Experience with US GAAP and local GAAP reporting across Europe
Familiarity working with global remote teams
International Tax reporting experience for other
