Audit Supervisor

Job Summary:


We are currently partnered with a premier CPA firm in Miami, FL who are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Supervisor to join their dynamic audit team. The Audit Supervisor will play a crucial role in managing audit engagements, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities:


  • Engagement Management:
    • Plan, execute, and finalize audit engagements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS).
    • Develop audit strategies, objectives, and timelines, ensuring effective resource allocation and adherence to deadlines.

  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development.
    • Review work papers, financial statements, and audit reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with professional standards.

  • Client Interaction:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during audit engagements, building and maintaining strong relationships.
    • Communicate audit findings and recommendations effectively to clients and management, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.

  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that all audit work complies with firm policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high standards of service delivery.

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Provide expert guidance on complex accounting and auditing issues.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, changes in regulations, and best practices to enhance the firm's audit methodologies.

  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness in audit processes.
    • Contribute to the development and enhancement of audit tools and methodologies.

  • Business Development:
    • Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the firm's client base.
    • Participate in marketing efforts, including networking events and seminars, to promote the firm's audit services.


Qualifications:


  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.

  • Certifications:
    • CPA designation required; additional certifications (e.g., CIA, CISA) are a plus.

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of audit experience in public accounting, with demonstrated progression in responsibility.
    • Experience managing multiple audit engagements and client relationships effectively.

  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and relevant regulations.
    • Proficiency in audit software (e.g., ProSystem fx, CaseWare) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
