Experienced Accountant

Job Summary:


We are currently partnered with a leading CPA firm in Miami, FL who are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Accountant to join their accounting team. The Experienced Accountant will be responsible for managing financial reporting, tax compliance, and providing advisory services to a diverse client base. Key Responsibilities:


  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records, performing account reconciliations and variance analyses.

  • Tax Compliance:
    • Assist in the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
    • Stay informed on tax law changes and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

  • Client Advisory Services:
    • Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to clients regarding their financial performance and strategies.
    • Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.

  • Audit Support:
    • Assist with internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
    • Collaborate with audit teams to ensure all financial information is accurate and compliant.

  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency within the department.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

  • Mentorship:
    • Support and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and assistance in their professional development.
    • Review junior staff work for accuracy and completeness, offering constructive feedback.


Qualifications:


  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Certifications:
    • CPA designation preferred; candidates pursuing CPA certification are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of accounting experience in public accounting or a related field.
    • Proven experience managing multiple clients and projects effectively.

  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and relevant regulations.
    • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
