Position Summary
They are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either private client tax or business tax, with the ability to manage complex tax engagements and provide exceptional client service. This position is partner tracked for the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and/or business clients
- Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients
- Lead and mentor junior staff members
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Stay current with tax laws and regulations
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities
- Contribute to the firm's growth strategies and initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree in Taxation preferred
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience
- Proven experience in private client tax and/or business tax
- Track record of successfully managing complex tax engagements
- Experience in mentoring and developing junior staff
