Are you ready to advance your career in accountancy? I am seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join my clients team in Watford or Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients and contributing to their success.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Accounts & VAT Preparation: Preparing accounts and VAT returns for sole traders, companies, and partnerships.
• Tax Returns: Handling personal and corporate tax returns.
• Management Accounting: Working with Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks (experience preferred but not essential).
• Data Entry & Journals: Accurate data input, processing journals, and finalising accounts.
• Oversight: Managing and reviewing accounts work by others, including outsourced providers.

About You:

I am looking for someone with a proactive and flexible approach who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you'll have:

• Qualifications:
  • Part-qualified ACA or ACCA (continuing studies not required), or
  • AAT Level 4, or
  • Qualified by experience.
• Education: BTEC or A-Level standard.
• Experience: Previous experience in a practice environment is essential.
• IT Skills: Competent with accounting software and general IT systems.
• Personal Qualities:
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
