Tax Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our clients dynamic team in Denver. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of recent experience in public accounting, with a CPA or Bar License, and strong technical skills specifically focused on tax planning and compliance for private equity companies, partnerships, and LLCs.
As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the preparation and review of complex federal, state, and local tax returns for private equity firms, partnerships, and LLCs
- Providing strategic tax planning and advisory services to help clients optimize their tax positions
- Researching and interpreting tax laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities
- Supervising and mentoring junior tax professionals, providing guidance and training
- Collaborating with the client service team to understand business objectives and translate them into effective tax strategies
- Identifying and communicating tax risks, issues, and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner
- Staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation, court decisions, and industry trends to proactively advise clients
Qualifications:
- CPA or Bar License required
- 5+ years of recent experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax planning and compliance for private equity companies, partnerships, and LLCs
- Strong technical expertise in federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and identify tax-saving opportunities
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex tax concepts into actionable insights for clients
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to supervise and develop junior tax professionals
- Proficient in tax software and technology, including tax research tools and compliance platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree in Taxation or related field is preferred
