Technical Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive tax services including:
- Review of partnership, corporate, and individual tax returns
- Federal, foreign, state, and local tax compliance
- Tax estimated payments and extensions
- Federal and state tax audit assistance
- Partner with client management to:
- Determine strategic tax objectives and methodologies
- Analyze broader impacts of tax decisions
- Develop and implement tax solutions
- Identify and implement tax planning opportunities:
- Federal and state tax credits
- Tax savings from new legislation
- Strategic planning initiatives
- Drive technological excellence:
- Maximize use of CCH Axcess and related tax technologies
- Ensure team adherence to technology standards
- Optimize workflow efficiency
- Manage engagement economics:
- Oversee billing and collections
- Monitor project realization
- Maintain budget accountability
Client and Team Leadership
- Business Development
- Participate in networking events and industry functions
- Attend and contribute to client meetings
- Support proposal development and sales initiatives
- Staff Development
- Lead teams of 1-2 associates per engagement
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship
- Foster professional growth and development
- Key Relationships
- Collaborate with firm leadership (Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners)
- Interface with client executives (Controllers, CFOs, C-Suite)
- Build and maintain strong client relationships

Required Qualifications
- Professional Credentials
- Active CPA license or Bar License
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of public accounting experience
- Location Requirements
- Based in or willing to relocate to Chicago area
- Available for regional client travel with occasional overnight stays
- Ability to attend firm-wide training events and programs
