About the Role:
I am seeking a Financial Reporting Executive to join my client's newly established Financial Reporting Team. This team will deliver a dedicated, elevated accounting and reporting service to their Audit clients, including multinational groups, PLCs, listed companies, owner-managed businesses, leading charities, academies, and schools.
This role offers a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact by providing high-quality financial reporting services, addressing the needs of an extensive and varied client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Statutory Accounts Preparation:
- Prepare financial statements, consolidations, and disclosures under IFRS, UK GAAP, Charities SORP, FRS 102, and other standards.
- Client Liaison:
- Act as a key contact for clients, addressing client-specific areas of judgement, provisioning, and risks.
- Audit Support:
- Collaborate with the Audit team to finalise statutory financial statements and respond to client queries.
- Regulatory Updates:
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and maintain CPD to meet standards.
- Interdepartmental Coordination:
- Work closely with other departments to meet client requirements and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Ad-Hoc Support:
- Provide general and ad-hoc assistance to the Audit team as needed.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrated experience preparing full sets of statutory accounts in a professional services environment.
- Familiarity with multiple accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP, Charity SORP, FRS 102).
- Some audit experience (preferred but not essential).
- Client Focus:
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills to deliver a responsive, proactive, and value-adding service.
- Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent accountancy qualification (preferred).
