Are you passionate about making a difference while managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including a leading Not For Profit (NFP) specialism? I am seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join their dynamic Corporate Services team. This role offers a unique blend of client management, team leadership, and practice development, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality audit and advisory services to corporate and NFP clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management & Service Delivery:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring cost-effective, timely, and high-quality services, particularly within the NFP sector.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, responding to queries and liaising with third parties, such as HMRC.
- Build strong relationships with clients, gaining in-depth knowledge of their businesses.
Audit & Accounts:
- Plan, review, and finalise audit files, accounts, and corporation tax work prepared by junior staff.
- Ensure compliance with deadlines, including Companies House filings, group reporting, and tax returns.
- Support partners with business planning, advisory projects, and other audit-related matters.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
- Conduct staff appraisals, provide constructive feedback, and deliver training as needed.
- Proactively delegate work to enhance team skills and efficiency.
Practice Development:
- Identify business opportunities and assist partners in expanding client services.
- Participate in networking, marketing, and business development initiatives.
Critical Skills & Knowledge:
Essential Skills:
- Strong audit and accounts preparation skills, particularly within the NFP sector.
- Ability to review and complete files efficiently.
- Proactive management and leadership skills to inspire high-performance teams.
- Problem-solving, networking, and business development capabilities.
Technical Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of corporate taxation and MS Office products.
- Experience with financial reporting and compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
- ACA or ACCA qualification with a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in an audit practice.
- At least 3 years' experience managing staff in a practice environment.
Desirable:
- FCA or FCCA qualification.
- Experience within a large practice.
