Qualifications



Required Credentials

  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in the state of Colorado
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax preparation and planning
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax regulations


Professional Experience

  • Proven track record of managing multi-state and complex tax engagements
  • Experience with corporate, partnership, individual, and international tax returns
  • Strong skills in tax research, compliance, and strategic tax planning
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor junior tax professionals
  • Proficiency in leading tax technology platforms and software


Key Responsibilities



Client Services

  • Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies for corporate and individual clients
  • Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns
  • Provide proactive tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities
  • Manage client relationships and serve as primary point of contact for tax matters
  • Conduct tax compliance reviews and ensure accuracy of all tax submissions


Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor junior tax staff
  • Participate in staff development, performance evaluations, and training programs
  • Collaborate with other practice areas to provide integrated client solutions
  • Contribute to the firm's business development efforts


Technical Expertise

  • Stay current with evolving tax laws, regulations, and IRS guidelines
  • Conduct in-depth tax research to support complex tax positions
  • Develop innovative tax strategies that align with clients' business objectives
  • Assist in the development of internal tax technical resources and training materials
