Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager with a CPA license to join our clients growing team. The ideal candidate will manage complex client relationships, oversee tax compliance engagements, provide sophisticated tax planning advice, and mentor junior staff members. This role offers significant growth potential for the right candidate interested in partnership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct tax compliance and consulting engagements for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, trusts, and estates
  • Review tax returns, workpapers, and research prepared by staff to ensure technical accuracy, completeness, and client satisfaction
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize clients' federal and state tax liabilities
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for additional client services and business development
  • Maintain deep knowledge of federal and state tax developments and communicate implications to clients and staff
  • Serve as primary point of contact for key client relationships, delivering exceptional service and timely responses
  • Manage staff performance, including workload assignments, training, coaching, and performance evaluations
  • Participate in firm-wide strategic initiatives and contribute to practice growth
  • Collaborate with partners on complex technical issues and firm management decisions


Qualifications:

  • Active CPA license with 6+ years of progressive public accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years at manager level
  • Demonstrated expertise in individual, partnership, S-corporation, trust, and estate taxation
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and staff development
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software (CCH Axcess, UltraTax, or similar platforms)
  • Solid understanding of tax research tools and methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master's in Taxation preferred
