Proficiency in tax preparation and comprehensive accounting principles is essential for this role.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute complex accounting, auditing, and tax engagements under the guidance of engagement leadership
- Demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency while upholding rigorous professional standards and quality control protocols
- Provide leadership and direction to junior team members, including delegation of responsibilities and thorough review of deliverables
- Develop comprehensive workpapers supporting sophisticated tax compliance projects and complex return preparation
- Identify and communicate strategic tax planning opportunities to engagement leadership
- Draft professional client correspondence for partner review and finalization; contribute substantive content to management letters
- Facilitate professional development of junior staff through formal and informal mentoring, technical guidance, and constructive feedback
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive public accounting experience with demonstrated advancement in complexity of engagements and technical expertise
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
- Commitment to ongoing professional development with completion of 40+ CPE hours annually
- Active CPA license or demonstrable progress toward certification through examination
- AICPA membership in good standing (for licensed professionals)
