Senior Tax Manager

Position Overview:
The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, while also developing and implementing effective tax policies and planning strategies. This role includes preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting research, overseeing audits, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review a variety of tax returns, including individual, fiduciary, corporate, partnership, and multistate
Manage all phases of tax engagements including planning, preparation, compliance, and research
Identify tax risk areas and recommend strategic solutions through research and collaboration with senior leadership
Independently review tax procedures and financial statements
Supervise staff and oversee the day-to-day management of tax planning and compliance work
Monitor team workflows, ensuring deadlines are met and communication is clear
Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members
Communicate regularly with Partners regarding client needs and project status
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
CPA designation (required)
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a CPA firm (required)

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Strong technical knowledge in accounting and tax regulations
